"Meditation & Mind Training" provides an engaging introduction to meditation practices within the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. This course offers a comprehensive overview of essential meditation techniques and Buddhist philosophy to help you integrate these practices into your daily life.


Course StructureIn this course, you will explore the fundamental aspects of Buddhist meditation and its applications. The structure includes:

  • Introduction to Meditation Techniques: Learn foundational practices such as breath awareness, mindfulness, visualization with mantra recitation, and analytical meditation.
  • Foundations of Buddhist Philosophy: Gain insights into key Buddhist principles, such as loving-kindness, compassion, and impermanence, which form the basis of the meditation techniques.
  • Practical Experience: Engage in daily meditation sessions to experience the techniques firsthand and understand their impact on your thought and behavior patterns.
  • Setting Up a Practice: Receive guidance on establishing a personal meditation routine and the skills developed through regular practice, along with their practical benefits.

The course will alternate between teaching sessions and meditation practice, offering you a balanced approach to learning and applying meditation techniques. By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of meditation’s benefits and how to incorporate these practices into your life.

Please note that this course is not a Vipassana Meditation course.

*The course will be taught in English only.

Room allocation is handled on a first-come, first-served basis and is confirmed upon arrival. We cannot guarantee your first choice of room.

Arrival and Check-In:

  • Check-in Time: February 20, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (latest).
  • First Session: 5:30 pm on February 20. Please ensure you arrive before this time.

Early Arrival and Late Departure: You may arrive one or two days early or stay one or two days after the course. Extra charges apply for these additional days. Please click here to check the costs. Reception is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm; arrivals and departures should be scheduled within these hours.

Course Conclusion: The course ends on February 27, with lunch.

Daily Schedule:

  • Start Time: 6:45 am
  • End Time: 9:00 pm
  • Attendance at all sessions is compulsory. Silence is observed from 9:00 pm until after lunch the following day.

Course Discipline:

  • Mobile phones and other internet-connectable devices must be checked in at reception for the duration of the course.
  • Please adhere to our strict dress code, appropriate for a monastic environment.
